The MyDD link is broken. What do these maps mean? Current polling of Bush vs. any Democrat? Bush vs. Hillary? General party preference?
Whoops. Fixed that link, thanks.
Those are Bush approval ratings. Pull quote: “Dems lead the 2008 generic ballot by 19 points, and America thinks Bill Clinton was better than Bush at everything, and by huge margins.”
And Monica agrees! BA DUM DUM!!
Sorry, couldn’t resist. Two more serious thoughts:
1) This is indicative of Howard Dean’s strategy: people feel good about the generic Democrat, but vote for their specific candidate. It’s pictures like these that will send lefties kicking and screaming if/when the Republicans have success in the mid-terms.
2) Interesting philisophical question: who was hated more? Bush now, or Clinton on impeachment day? Probably Bush now, me thinks, but it’s a whole lot closer than people might think. So in 2014, will we be reading that people think GWB was better at everything than Madam Hillary? Hmmm….
